As you plan your drive, double check your GPS with the instructions below. The area is remote. Do not expect cell coverage. Consider caravaning.

From Temecula:

From I-15 exit Rancho California Road, head west away from town and up the hill

Go 5.1 miles and turn left onto De Luz Road (at STOP sign)

Remain on De Luz Road 9.4 miles until the road comes to a “T”. Make a very sharp right at the “T”; you will still be on De Luz Road.

Circle Oak Ranch is 0.5 miles further on the left (0.3 miles past Calle Roxanne)

Temecula is best known for its abundance of highly rated wineries. Dickson and I are members at Ponte Winery and can recommend several more in the area for lunch/dinner and wine tasting.

Old Town Temecula, established in 1859, is characterized by nostalgic streets lined with original buildings, artisan boutiques, buzzing eateries, craft cocktail bars, and live music venues. Free parking is available in several public lots and on the street. Find a parking spot and stroll through the streets of this unique town.

Pechanga casino is also nearby if you are feeling lucky.

Cocktail hour includes beer, wine, cocktails and tray passed appetizers (mini caprese skewers with a balsamic drizzle, watermelon feta and fresh mint kabobs with balsamic drizzle, ahi poke on wonton crisp with a sriracha aioli sauce, coconut shrimp with sweet chili dipping sauce).

Reception dinner served buffet style includes a mixed green salad (red onions, gorgonzola cheese, chopped dates, pecans, and balsamic vinegarette), herb focaccia bread, naan bread, garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken biryani, butter chicken, and herb encrusted tri-tip served with au jus - carved onsite.

Check the weather before packing. Summer temperatures could be in the 80s. The venue is entirely outdoors with plenty of shade.
